Engineering Plymouth

Overview
Engineering Plymouth allowed us to work with over 500 local residents to produce a series of visual art vignettes including animated dance portraits, biographical films and place-making moving images. Using locations such as the Plymouth Breakwater and The Citadel, we reimagined the publics’ perception of Plymouth’s built environment.
Over 12-months the project involved creative workshops that led to performances against extraordinary maritime backdrops, turning the city into a stage. The work, animated into a series, was narrated by Dawn French and is now a permanent digital installation at The Box, Plymouth.
